“Game of Endurance” is a brief narrative inspired by the experiences of my close friend, who endured chronic facial pain for 12 long years before finally receiving the correct treatment. This short comic is adapted from her journey, capturing the challenges she faced in her daily life as she battled this debilitating condition—from the onset of the pain to her eventual recovery after undergoing a risky procedure. Like many others living with chronic pain, her life was marked by countless ups and downs, often unnoticed by those around her.
I used pen and pencil on paper for this comic, so the images are scans of hand drawn/written pages.
